KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia continued to show their prowess in the track and field events at the Asian Para Games in Incheon, South Korea, by delivering two more gold medals.
Mohd Azlan Mat Lazin became the fastest man when he won the gold medal in the 100m T36 event. Mohd Ridzuan Mohd Puzi made it a 1-2 sweep for Malaysia when he took the silver medal.
Ridzuan did better in the long jump T36/37/38 event when he nailed the gold medal. China’s Shang Guangxu came in second while Iraq’s Ali Olfatlavi took the bronze.
The women also contributed some medals when Doriah Poulus won a bronze in the shot putt F44 event while Hemala Devi Eni Kutty came in third in the shot putt F11/12 category.
Malaysia also won one silver and one bronze in bowling while another bronze in swimming.
On Monday, Malaysia had won two gold medals from athletics through Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli (shot putt F20) and Siti Noor Radiah Ismail (long jump T20).
