Kota Kinabalu: Rayzam Shah Wan Sofian and Eddie Edward Jr. will compete in the 21st edition of Asian Athletics Championship to be held in Wuhan, China from June 3-5.
The duo are the only two Sabahans selected by the Malaysia Athletics Federation (MAF) to participate in the three-day competition which will feature over 1000 top athletes from 45 Asian Countries.
It will be a warm-up gig for the two ahead of the SEA Games in Singapore where Rayzam will be taking part in the men 110m hurdle as well as the men 4 x 100m relay with Eddie.
The two had earlier qualified for the Singapore Games in March this year together with Fathin Mohd Yusuf.
Meanwhile, Sabah Athletics Association (SAA) President Fred Gabriel thanked MAF President Datuk Karim Ibrahim and said it is another achievement by the two athletes following their earlier inclusion in the SEA Games national squad.
